The Park Managers Forum meets on 13 October 2026 at Duncan Place Community Hub with City of Edinburgh Council. The forum will focus on delivering nature recovery through an in-person gathering.
Join us for an in-person Park Managers Forum with City of Edinburgh Council focusing on key aspects of delivering nature recovery.
We are excited to be hosting an in-person event in partnership with the City of Edinburgh Council. We will be looking at three key themes across the day which are essential for delivering effective nature recovery:
Operations
Monitoring
Communication and engagement
We will look at how these three themes tie into the delivery of the Edinburgh Nature Network and other linked programmes. We will visit some of the Nature Network pilot sites in Leith and discuss how these have been delivered and plans for ongoing programme implementation, and a holistic approach being taken across Council teams.
We are keen for this event to be as interactive as possible and to ensure we get the most out of having forum members together in person. The workshop session will be a chance for you to share your own approach to nature recovery and how this ties into wider aims of greenspace management.
The agenda will be as follows:
Welcome and introductions
Presentations
Guided walk led by City of Edinburgh Council staff to look at key project sites
Lunch break
Workshop / breakout session
Closing remarks
