Mid Tartraven Farm, based in Mid Tartraven near Bathgate, is inviting families and visitors to enjoy a weekend of autumn activities on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October, with its Pick Your Own Pumpkin event. With more than 300 pumpkins to choose from, visitors can pick their perfect pumpkin while enjoying a range of seasonal activities, fresh farm produce and homemade food in a welcoming countryside setting. The event offers much more than pumpkin picking, with treasure trails, straw bale adventures and the opportunity to meet Pumpkin, the farm's Highland cow, making it an ideal autumn outing for families with young children. Visitors will also be able to explore the farm's seasonal market garden produce, discover a new range of quality butcher meat and enjoy freshly prepared food from the farm's Pop Up Kitchen. On the menu will be homemade soups, Burnhouse burgers, cakes and drinks, offering visitors a taste of the farm's focus on fresh, seasonal food. Mid Tartraven Farm champions chemical-free, regeneratively farmed and locally grown produce. The pumpkin weekend is an opportunity to welcome the wider community onto the farm, showcase its approach to farming and encourage visitors to reconnect with where their food comes from.
