About This Event

Having trouble focusing/being productive, or do you simply need a change of scene from your usual writing environment? Come along to Shut Up & Write! for an hour of focused writing, in an informal and supportive atmosphere. This is for writers of any genre and you do not have to share your work. Most people who come find it helpful to be in the company of other people with the same goal and it's surprising how productive you can be in one hour. Aside from the writing, this is a good opportunity to get out, meet fellow peers and chat about your interests. • From 11am: Get settled in, take your seat, meet fellow writers • 11:30am: Pen poised/laptop ready and… write! • 12:30pm: Head off or stay and chat about what you’re working on/life in general. NOTE: This is not a group for critiquing your writing. We provide a space for focused writing; many members like the fact you do not share your work at the end because it's more relaxed. Members should bring their own project to work on.
