The evening will showcase the inspiring standard of music making taking place within the city’s central bands, orchestras and ensembles, in support of Childline. Over 85 instrumental music instructors are employed throughout the city, providing weekly lessons to over 5800 pupils, in our primary and secondary schools. These concerts give our young musicians the opportunity to perform in a public concert hall, collaborating with their peers and playing to an appreciative large audience. It is also a superb opportunity for our young musicians to use their musical talents to support a very worthwhile cause. The concert will be packed with a wonderful variety of music including, the Edinburgh Schools’ Classical Guitar Ensemble, Edinburgh Schools’ Rock Ensemble, the Edinburgh Schools’ Jazz Orchestra, Edinburgh Secondary Schools’ Intermediate String Orchestra, Edinburgh School’s Choir, Edinburgh Schools’ Wind Ensemble and Edinburgh Secondary Schools’ Orchestra. We look forward to welcoming you then.
