The first annual IGS Awards will take place at The Outhouse in Edinburgh on Friday 28 August 2026, with proceedings beginning at 7pm. This ceremony is set to recognise Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows across five distinct categories, honouring the craft and risk-taking that define live theatre. A range of performers and companies from the festival’s programme will be represented, with winners selected from the season’s most striking work. Tickets are priced between £6.66 and £8.83, a deliberate reflection of the event’s modest, artist-focused character.
Join us for the first annual IGS awards, recognising Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows in five unique categories.
We'll be handing out awards for the Best Terrifying Puppet, Most Amusing Novel Swearword, and Best Use Of Bodily Fluids In A Fringe Show, among others.
There'll be speeches, mild suspense, an assortment of live entertainment, an audience vote, and quite possibly some mild drama... all followed by an afterparty until late.
As it's an awards show we'll have some suitably fancy stuff going on, from canapes to a photographer to a vodka luge. There's no dress code, but you're very welcome to dress to impress if you feel like it.
The Outhouse is a mildly haunted venue, and if we're lucky some of the spirits that inhabit this historic pub might help us with the presentation of one of our awards. There'll be an audience vote as well.
Ceremonies begin at 19:30, and the afterparty at 21:30. The bar will be open throughout! As our venue is a bar, nobody under 18 will be able to attend.
