The Trashure Hunt - The Lore Tour is scheduled for 30 August 2026 starting at 19:00 with the venue listed as TBA in Edinburgh. This immersive walking expedition guides participants through sites described as the city's trashiest treasures. Prices range from £9 to £18.
DIVA DOWN. Help us find Lili LéWaste. — A site-specific, immersive, theatrical, walking expedition through Edinburgh's Trashiest Treasures!
WHAT IN THE GALAXY IS THIS?
Lili LéWaste - burlesque icon, audacious leader of the Garbage Gals, fearless Guardian of the Garbage Galaxy - has been lost since "The Accident"...
She's been spotted in Edinburgh, likely headed for the Fringe - but sources say she's lost the plot and is trapped in a story that doesn't serve her highest timeline. We need your help to find her and set the record "straight"...or queer - whatever!
Your mission, should you choose to accept (and you should) - is to follow the QR clues through graffitied closes and some of the most beautiful and criminally overlooked corners of Edinburgh - assembling the other Garbage Gals along the way.
You'll unlock hidden treasures, and piece together a story of "Trashformation" that's been hiding in plain sight across the city.
This isn't your typical sightseeing tour...or Fringe Show...it's an extremely odd, other-worldly clusterfuck of both. There's also a "CAMP" fire, a live burlesque performance, and a ritual sacrifice at the Crags at midnight that you will absolutely not see coming even though I just told you about it...
Hosted by one mediocre multi-passionate mixed chick who has made it her entire personality to have 5 different personalities and transform emotional trash-baggage into treasure..
Welcome to the Garbage Galaxy. Try to keep up!
WHAT'S IN THE BIN
Explore the Hidden Treasures of Edinburgh through a "Lore Tour" of the Garbage Galaxy featuring key stories from the "Dirty Diaries" ...
🔍A "Trashure Hunt" featuring QR codes hidden across the route to unlock secret character pages, video clues, art pieces, and pieces of the puzzle.
🎭 Opportunities to Choose Your Own Adventure at certain JUNK-tions, along the route. You get to decide which "train of thot" to follow...because Chaos.
🎨The Garbage Gallerie - A QR code art gallery on dumpsters featuring work from other artists and "Trash Hags" (Citizens of The Garbage Galaxy)
📸Photo OPs everywhere! - bring your camera, your best angles, and zero shame. Trashy-sexy pics are encouraged - Bonus points if you dress as your own OC/ Alter Ego!
🔥A fire finale & live performance. We end at the Crags. There's a little fire and a live burlesque performance. S'mores and a Show - It's perfect!
THE PHYSICAL SITUATION — PLEASE READ THIS BIT
This is a proper physical undertaking. We are not walking around a flat car park.Edinburgh has stairs & Lots of them. We will be climbing Jacob's Ladder (A F*ck Ton of Steps), ascending Calton Hill, navigating uneven cobblestones, and finishing with an uphill (Low-key sketchy) climb to the Crags - all in the dark, starting at 10pm, for approximately 2.5–3 hours.
This experience is genuinely manageable for most people with average fitness and good footwear - but it is not suitable for anyone with significant mobility limitations, knee/hip issues.
More accessible routes and accommodations are available - but will need pre-planning - so please reach out with concerns!
Wear sturdy shoes you have actually walked in before. Layers are essential - Edinburgh at midnight in August is unpredicatble. And bring a small torch/phone torch for the darker sections of the route.
