Exploring the Celtic Alliance - what can we learn from our meetings at the European Parliament on the 10th anniversary of the Brexit vote?
All three devolved UK nations now have nationalist, progressive administrations – how might this impact aspirations for Scottish / Welsh independence, Irish unification, and EU membership? Hear from expert speakers, and join the conversation!
This event is part of the Scotland in the EU project, a collaboration between Yes for EU, Europe for Scotland, and Scottish Independence Podcasts.
On 23rd June 2026, in Brussels, senior political figures from all four nations of the UK met with MEPs from European Union countries. These meetings were the latest stage in our major ‘Scotland in the EU’ project.
The event on 12th September in Edinburgh will report the outcomes of those meetings. We will hear from former MP, Dr Philippa Whitford, who took part in the Brussels meetings, and other speakers to be confirmed. A panel discussion and Q&A will provide opportunities for discussion.
