## Centering Prayer Introductory Workshop ### With Nicky Temple **Saturday, 17 October 2026 · 10:00am–4:00pm** 📍 The Quakers Meeting House, Wynards Lane, Magdalen Street, Exeter, EX2 4HU Would you like to discover a simple, contemplative way of becoming more deeply aware of the presence of God? **Centering Prayer** is a practice of silent prayer in which we gently consent to the presence and action of God within us. Rather than using words, we rest in silence and open ourselves to the deeper spiritual dimension of our being. Over time, this practice can help us develop a more authentic relationship with the Divine, with ourselves, and with one another. This introductory workshop offers an opportunity to learn about Centering Prayer, experience the practice for yourself, and explore how it might become part of your own spiritual journey. The day will be led by **Nicky Temple**, who has followed a contemplative path for over 20 years, rooted in the Christian mystical tradition. **Everyone is welcome** — whether you come from a particular faith tradition or none at all. ### Practical Information * **Date:** Saturday, 17 October 2026 * **Time:** 10:00am–4:00pm (doors open at 9.30) * **Location:** The Quakers Meeting House, Wynards Lane, Magdalen Street, Exeter, EX2 4HU * **Cost:** £25 when booked through Eventbrite, or *pay what you can afford on the day* * Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided * Please arrive early and bring a packed lunch The nearest public car park is on Magdalen Street.
