Build your profile, expand your network + create opportunities. First-hand advice from three artists on self-promotion + making connections.
How do you make connections? Get your work noticed? Approach galleries and exhibition opportunities? Use social media without feeling like you’re constantly selling yourself?
Self-promotion doesn’t always come naturally, especially when you’d rather be making the work. But knowing how to talk about what you do, make connections and find opportunities can make a real difference.
What to Expect
Join three artists: Angela Rimmer, Georgina Peters, and Kara Morgan, who will share their knowledge, drawing on their experience of building networks, promoting their work, using social media and creating opportunities to exhibit. They’ll share some of the things they’ve learned along the way, as well as practical tips and ideas you can take away and try for yourself.
This is a relaxed, informal session with plenty of time to ask questions, share experiences and have a conversation with other artists. Whether you’re looking to get your work out there more, find new opportunities, build your confidence or simply hear how other artists approach the business of being an artist, come along and join the conversation.
Our cafe will be open for you to purchase refreshments - including affordable coffee, and specially baked (savoury and Sweet) pastries.
So join us for breakfast. A friendly morning of useful ideas, honest conversation and new connections.
