Christmas music, festive fun and community spirit on Exmouth seafront.

Celebrate the festive season with a magical evening at Sideshore, bringing together Christmas music, community spirit and a family-friendly fun run along Exmouth seafront.

Walk, jog or run at your own pace as local school choirs fill the route with Christmas carols. Then head back to Sideshore for festive entertainment, seasonal refreshments and a wonderful community atmosphere.

No timing. No pressure. Just festive fun!

And the best part? Every entry makes a difference. All profits from the event will support The Sideshore Project, helping us continue to provide opportunities for local children to learn, explore and connect with our incredible coastline.

More Than a Fun Run

This event is about much more than crossing a finish line.

Every pound of profit raised will go directly to The Sideshore Project, supporting its work with local children through sea swimming and water safety, environmental education, creativity and wellbeing activities.

By taking part, you’ll be helping us create more opportunities for local young people to experience the coast, build confidence around the water and discover the benefits of spending time outdoors.

The Route

The fun run will start and finish at Sideshore, following Exmouth’s beautiful seafront towards the RNLI Lifeboat Station before returning to Sideshore via Rockfish.

The full route is approximately 4km.

But little legs don’t have to go the whole way! Families are welcome to turn back whenever they’re ready. There’s no requirement to complete the full distance – simply walk, jog or run as far as feels right and enjoy the magic of the evening.

A Festive Treat at the Finish

Every participant will be welcomed back to Sideshore with a delicious Christmas flapjack and a warming non-alcoholic festive drink to enjoy after crossing the finish line.

Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult.

Festive Fancy Dress

Christmas fancy dress is very much encouraged!

We’d love to see Santas, elves, reindeer, Christmas jumpers, fairy lights and plenty of festive sparkle and jingle bells along the seafront.

Where possible, we encourage everyone to keep it sustainable – reuse something you already own, borrow from a friend or get creative and make your own festive outfit.
