Discover the vibrant world of pastels in this beginner-friendly class, where you will master essential drawing and painting techniques.

Discover the vibrant colors of the pastel medium! This unique medium acts as both a drawing and painting tool, offering artists the ease of application, combined with painterly techniques. Students will learn the essential basics of working with pastels, while strengthening their observational and drawing skills. Demonstrations will show various methods for sketching, blending, composition, atmospheric perspective and use of color. Students may bring in their own photographs. No drawing experience needed, all materials will be provided for students to complete a finished pastel painting.

Payment will be processed and is required at the time of registration. Students are considered registered when tuition is paid in full.

Refund only possible if student withdraws by phone or in writing at least 10 days prior to the first class— NO EXCEPTIONS. If a student registers online, they will receive a refund minus the online registration fee.

If the class is cancelled by EFC, a full refund will be given. Students will be notified of any scheduling changes. We will contact students if class is cancelled due to severe weather and a make-up class will be scheduled.

Gift certificates are available for classes.
