Small community groups and VCSE organisations often rely on a mix of passionate volunteers and part‑time staff but taking people on, supporting them well, and keeping them engaged can feel overwhelming when budgets are tight and HR expertise is limited.

This practical, interactive 3‑hour workshop gives you the confidence, tools and simple processes you need to recruit safely, induct effectively and build a positive culture that reduces turnover.

Participants will learn how to:

Create clear role descriptions and adverts.

Deliver a simple, effective induction.

Keep staff and volunteers engaged and reduce turnover.

You will leave this session with a greater understanding of how to recruit and support staff and volunteers in your VCSE organisation.
