Step away from the day to day and join a small group of experienced practitioners for two inspiring days of creativity, reflection, and trauma-informed learning in a calm coastal setting.

Over the past four years, through Life Story Louise, I have had the privilege of supporting courageous children, young people, families, carers and practitioners to make sense of complex life experiences through Therapeutic Life Story Work. This workshop brings together the knowledge, creativity, resources and approaches that have shaped my practice and that continue to inform my work today.

Designed for practitioners who already have a foundation in life story work, this workshop offers the opportunity to deepen your understanding, strengthen your confidence, and explore new creative ways of helping children understand their stories, experiences, relationships and identities.

Explore trauma informed approaches to life story work.

Consider how attachment, relationships and lived experiences shape a child's story.

Experience creative tools, resources and activities that can be adapted for practice.

Reflect on how to make life story work safer, more engaging and more meaningful.

Develop greater confidence in responding to difficult stories and big emotions.

Think about identity, belonging, resilience and strengths based storytelling.

Share ideas, experiences and learning with fellow practitioners.

This is not a workshop where you'll spend two days looking at PowerPoint slides.

It is an experiential, interactive learning space where you will have opportunities to explore resources, have meaningful discussions, reflect on your own practice, and leave feeling inspired with practical ideas you can immediately use in your work.

There is something powerful about slowing down together.

Handling resources, sharing ideas, being curious, experimenting, laughing, reflecting and connecting with others brings learning to life in a way that online training simply cannot.

This workshop has been intentionally designed to create space for both learning and reflection, recognising that the best professional development happens when we feel safe, supported and connected.

The Setting

The workshop will be held in my home on the beautiful East Devon coast.

You'll have access to three large, light-filled rooms overlooking the sea, creating a calm and restorative environment that encourages creativity, curiosity and connection.

Whether you're travelling locally or making a mini coastal retreat of it, the setting provides the perfect backdrop for stepping away from everyday pressures and investing in yourself and your practice.
