Join local artist Helen McCormick for a relaxed, creative day at The Walronds. Learn to sculpt a characterful moon gazing Hare using traditional hand-building techniques and beautiful terracotta clay.
About the Workshop
Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to sharpen your pottery skills, this workshop offers a friendly and supportive space to create. During the session, I will guide you step-by-step through the process of hand-building your own Hare sculpture.We will be working with terracotta clay, a wonderful, earthy material that is perfect for capturing the spirit of the hare. These sculptures are left unglazed, as the terracotta will age beautifully in your garden over time. The focus of the day is on learning, meeting new people, and most importantly, having fun!
What’s Included
All terracotta clay, tools, and equipment.
Tea and coffee provided throughout the day.
Professional kiln firing of your finished piece.
What to Bring
A packed lunch.
An apron and old clothes you don't mind getting a little dusty.
The Firing Process & Collection
After the workshop, I will take your sculpture to my studio to be kiln-fired.
Collection: Your work will be ready to collect from The Walronds approximately 6 weeks after the workshop. I will contact you with specific dates and times once they are ready.
Please note: Finished work can be stored for up to 6 months before being donated to charity.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
I understand that plans can change, but as a small micro business (only me), last-minute cancellations are difficult to fill. My policy is as follows:
14 days or more before the event: Full refund of the ticket price provided.
7 to 13 days before the event: Full refund ONLY if I am able to fill your space (minus the booking fee) OR a ticket transfer to a future workshop of the same value.
3 to 7 days before the event: 75% refund of the ticket price ONLY if I am able to fill your space (minus the booking fee). No ticket transfers.
2 days (48 hours) before the event: 50% refund of the ticket price ONLY if I am able to fill your space (minus the booking fee). No ticket transfers.
Less than 48 hours or No-shows: No refunds or transfers can be offered.
If I have to cancel the workshop for any reason, you will receive a full refund.
Location & Parking
Venue: The Walronds, Cullompton.
FREE Parking: Available at the rear of the building.
Directions: Turn up Tiverton Road from the High Street, then turn left onto Shortlands Lane (just before the fire station). Follow the narrow lane, turn left at the car park sign, and go through the gate.
