Osborne House 5K Fun Run – Event Overview

The Osborne House 5K Fun Run will provide a rare opportunity for participants to run through one of Britain's most iconic historic landscapes. Taking place within the grounds of Osborne House, the former seaside home of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, the event combines fitness, heritage and spectacular scenery in a unique visitor experience.

This will be the first organised fun run at Osborne House for many years and is expected to attract runners from across the Isle of Wight and beyond. Participants will experience areas of the estate not normally viewed in a single visit, taking in woodland paths, open parkland, coastal views and some of the finest vantage points of the house itself.

The route begins outside the Carriage Circle and heads towards Sovereign's Gate before passing the golf course. Runners then descend towards Osborne Beach, enjoying panoramic views across the Solent, before climbing Rhododendron Walk to Swiss Cottage. The route continues along Swiss Road, offering arguably the best view of Osborne House, before circling the estate and returning to finish at the original start location.

More than just a 5K, this is an opportunity to run through the historic grounds of Osborne House, following in the footsteps of Queen Victoria and the royal family. With woodland trails, coastal views, heritage landscapes and a spectacular finish in front of the house, it will be one of the most scenic and unique runs on the Isle of Wight.
