This popular set of workshops from Glasgow's City of Poets is back for another term. Suitable for budding and closet poets alike.

MAKING PIES - 6 workshops for the closet poet

The work is in part focused on techniques, from rhythm and rhyming, to alliteration and dissonance. At the same time, it is just as much about building confidence and the cohesion of the:

Physical,

Intellectual,

Emotional, and

Spiritual,...hence the PIES.

Participants need only bring themselves, but if you have work, whether complete or in progress, please have it with you.

City of Poets promotes everyone as a poet, and considers poetry, like music, to be a unique individual expression, with healing power for individuals and beyond.

The workshops begin on Sunday 21st June 2026 and runs weekly six times until 26th July 2026.

Classes usually run for over an hour, but complete in under 90 minutes.

Course dates :

18th October: 11am - 12.30pm

25th October: 11am - 12.30pm

1st November: 11am - 12.30pm

8th November: 11am - 12.30pm

15th November: 11am - 12.30pm

22nd November: 11am - 12.30pm

This payment option covers you for all six sessions. You do not need to pay each week.
