Emily St. John Mandel, bestselling author of Station Eleven and The Sea of Tranquility, joins us in a rare UK appearance to discuss her latest novel, Exit Party. Having taken on pandemics, time travel, strange murders, and more, Exit Party sees Mandel tackle the aftermath of a brutal civil war and its impacts on one woman - as well as the complete fracturing of reality. Dealing with surveillance, freedom, and love, as well as the transformative power of art, Exit Party is a spectacular new novel on a grand and yet intimate scale. Emily will join Cailean Steed, author of Home, in conversation to discuss writing with hope, the importance of love and human connection, and the fracturing of consensus, before signing copies of her books.
