This new collection of 30 paintings explores a theme that feels increasingly relevant: our innate desire to connect - with place, with memory and with one another. Through her expressive use of colour, texture and light, Blythe invites us to pause and rediscover the beauty and familiarity found in the places that shape our lives. Marking her return to Glasgow after living and working abroad for many years, this is a home-coming exhibition for Blythe and features a number or standout Glasgow-focused paintings. This exhibition is a riot of bold colours and extraordinary vibrancy and for Blythe, each of the paintings speak of her deep connection to her home city and all her subject matter. Best experienced in person, ‘Connection’ runs until the 25th October at the Annan Gallery, Woodlands Road, Glasgow. We look forward to welcoming visitors and collectors to the gallery to experience this exciting new collection and discover the world of Blythe Scott for themselves.
