Archaeology Scotland and the University of Glasgow are conducting an archaeological excavation at Camphill in Queens Park, Glasgow from 24th August – 4th September 2026. The site has several features suggesting people may have lived here several thousand years ago, making it one of the oldest occupation sites in Glasgow. An Open Day will take place on Saturday 29th August, from 1100-1500. Other local heritage groups will be participating, including Langside Community Heritage and ACFA Field Archaeology for All. The Open Day will have something for everyone, including opportunities to try your hand at ancient crafts.
