Formed in London in 1994, Death in Vegas is the primary creative vehicle for DJ and producer Richard Fearless. Originally performing under the name Dead Elvis, the group became a defining force in the UK’s electronic and psychedelic rock scenes. The project gained widespread acclaim with the 1999 album The Contino Sessions and 2002's Scorpio Rising, notable for high-profile collaborations with artists such as Iggy Pop, Liam Gallagher, and Hope Sandoval. After a significant hiatus, Fearless revived the moniker with a more experimental, analogue-heavy sound. The 2025 album Death Mask, recorded in his Metal Box studio, continues this trajectory, blending minimal techno with industrial textures.
