The Annan Gallery is delighted to present ‘Deep Time, Inner Space,’ by the highly acclaimed Scottish artist, Ellis O’Connor, whose distinctive landscape paintings have earned her an increasingly international following. Inspired by recent travels around the world and also her time spent living on the Isle of Skye, Ellis's powerful, abstracted landscapes explore the connections between nature, memory and emotion. Through expressive layers of colour, light and texture, balancing a sense of vastness with intimate personal reflection, Ellis's paintings capture the atmosphere and feeling of a place rather than simply it’s appearance. Best experienced in person, ‘Deep Time, Inner Space,’ runs until the 22nd November at the Annan Gallery, Woodlands Road, Glasgow. We look forward to welcoming visitors and collectors to the gallery to experience this compelling new collection and discover the elemental beauty of Ellis O’Connor's work.
