The Glasgow and the Irish Revolution Walking Tour brings a walk through Glasgow's East End and Centre to visit sites with particular links to Irish revolutionary history and Glasgow connections on 17 September 2026 at the Former Meat Market Arch (off Gallowgate) in Glasgow.

A walk through Glasgow's East End and Centre to visit sites with particular links to Irish revolutionary history and Glasgow connections.

The 1916 Rising Centenary Committee (Scotland) in partnership with the Scottish Labour History Society, are delighted to host the popular 'Glasgow and the Irish Revolution Walking Tour.' Led by members of the 1916 Rising Centenary Committee (Scotland) Stephen Coyle and Keith Stoddart. Starting from Moore Street at the former Meat Market Arch (off Gallowgate) at 2pm, we'll walk via Glasgow Green through sites of arms caches, drilling grounds, arrests and shootouts! The walking tour will finish at the site of the old Duke Street jail.
