Lowertown is a compelling indie project consisting of lifelong friends Olivia Osby and Avsha Weinberg. The duo initially bonded over music in a high school mathematics class, combining Weinberg’s classical piano training with Osby’s background in poetry to create a distinctively raw, lyric-driven sound. After gaining widespread recognition through early EPs and their 2022 debut studio album I Love to Lie, they built a reputation on the live circuit supporting prominent acts like Wet Leg and Beabadoobee. Following a brief hiatus to reconnect after intense years of teenage touring, they have returned with their highly anticipated album, Ugly Duckling Union.
