Making their Celtic Connections debut in an exclusive Scottish appearance, Seamus Fogarty invites adventurous listeners into a world where Irish folk traditions collide with analogue electronics, offbeat pop invention and boundary-pushing sound. Following the acclaimed release of Ships on Lost Map Records, Fogarty has captured the attention of audiences and broadcasters alike with songs that are curious, unpredictable and full of character. On stage, he transforms these richly layered recordings into a captivating live experience, weaving together voice, guitar, synths and drum machines alongside an exceptional band featuring multi-instrumentalist Emma Smith and drummer Aram Zarikian. The result is a sound that can move from intimate and reflective to expansive and exhilarating in an instant. Praised for music that balances experimentation with warmth and humanity, Fogarty’s performances offer something truly distinctive for those eager to discover new musical territory. Whether you're drawn by contemporary folk, inventive songwriting or adventurous soundscapes, this special Celtic Connections show promises a fresh perspective from one of the most intriguing voices on today’s alternative folk scene.
