Get Ready for STOTS 2026!

The educational theme for this year's Scottish Trauma & Orthopaedic Training Symposium (STOTS) teaching day is Benign and Malignant Bone Tumours.

The day is open to all Trauma & Orthopaedic trainees (ST1–ST8) across Scotland.

The morning programme will consist of expert-led lectures covering the key principles of musculoskeletal oncology, providing a comprehensive overview of this important subspecialty.

In the afternoon, delegates will rotate through a series of interactive small-group sessions, including:

Paediatric bone tumours

Metastatic bone disease

A practical workshop

Viva/Case-Based Discussion (CBD) sessions tailored to stage of training

This year's event will be held at the Clayton Hotel in Glasgow city centre, conveniently located within walking distance of both Glasgow Central and Glasgow Queen Street railway stations, making it easily accessible for attendees travelling from across Scotland. Nearby parking is also available for those travelling by car.

The day will conclude with a course dinner, and we warmly encourage all delegates to attend. It will be an excellent opportunity to network with colleagues and faculty in an informal setting.

We are delighted to welcome an outstanding faculty of orthopaedic oncology experts from across Scotland, together with our guest speaker, Mr Parry, from the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham, one of England's leading tertiary referral centres for bone and soft tissue tumours.

We are also pleased to welcome Mr Cronan Kerin, Chair of the Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery Specialty Advisory Committee (SAC), who will provide an update on recent curriculum developments and training changes.
