Explosive folk fusion driven by concertina, fiddle and infectious rhythms

Talisk return to the Barrowland Ballroom for Celtic Connections 2027, following their sold-out 2024 show, with music from their brand-new album stems from this.

Few contemporary folk bands have pushed the boundaries of the genre quite like Talisk. Mohsen Amini (concertina), Benedict Morris (violin) and Charlie Galloway (guitar) bring together traditional instruments with a relentlessly modern approach, creating an exhilarating live sound that has taken the band from the Scottish folk scene to stages around the world.

With over 15 million streams, 10,000 albums sold and sold-out shows across five continents, Talisk have built a global following few contemporary folk acts can match. From sold-out shows in Glasgow, Tokyo, Paris and New York to major festival stages across Europe, North America and Australasia, including a Glastonbury appearance in 2025, they have established themselves as a formidable live act - whilst their BBC One Hogmanay Show performances reached an audience of more than a million viewers.

Released in October 2026, stems from this is the latest addition to Talisk’s recorded story, following their debut Abyss (2016), Beyond (2018) and Dawn (2022). The album expands their trademark instrumental sound with intricate arrangements, driving rhythms and richly layered production.

Irish brothers Le Boom transform live electronic

music into a shared experience. Performing in Irish and English, they blur the line between

audience and artist with infectious energy. Drawing on trad, indie and

electronic influences, their bilingual songs create an immersive atmosphere.

Through rhythm, movement and collective participation, Le Boom have built a

live show that turns a room of strangers into something closer to a community.
