Glasgow band, The City Sinners, were formed to pay tribute to the music of Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris. They're not a ‘tribute band’ as such, but aim to play the music of these artistes in a respectful way, while not attempting to look like them, or copy recordings. The band's members all have a wealth of experience on the Scottish country and americana music scene, and over the years have collaborated with a wide range of individuals including Jason Ringenberg, Jim Lauderdale, Gene Parsons, Martin Stephenson, Laura Cantrell, Chip Taylor, The Wynntown Marshals, and the late Rab Noakes. The current line up is Iain Barbour on electric and acoustic guitars, John Hinshelwood on acoustic guitar and vocals, Louise McAtee on vocals and acoustic guitar, Frank McHugh on drums, David McKee on bass and vocals and Malcolm McMaster on pedal steel and dobro.
