Who shapes the culture we celebrate, the opportunities we access and the communities we become? Join us at The Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel on Saturday 24 October for The Cultural Architects 2026, an in-person Black History Month gathering exploring Black contributions to the cultural, social and economic life of the United Kingdom. Under the theme “Beyond Representation: Shaping Culture, Influence and Economic Power,” this year’s event brings together people from across professions, businesses, creative practice and community life for a conversation about contribution, leadership and lasting change. Our story began in 2025 with the virtual event “Black Creativity Defining the UK’s Landscape.” It brought together professionals and leaders from different sectors to discuss how Black creativity, knowledge and innovation help shape contemporary Britain. This year, we are bringing that conversation into a shared space in Glasgow, creating an opportunity to meet, exchange ideas and build connections in person. The discussion will explore what it takes to turn visibility into meaningful influence. How can talent lead to sustainable opportunities? How can cultural knowledge and lived experience inform leadership and enterprise? And how can the progress of individuals create opportunities for wider communities? Expect a thought-provoking panel conversation, perspectives from different sectors and the opportunity to contribute your own questions. There will also be time to connect with others who care about culture, community, business and the future we are building together. Whether you are an entrepreneur, professional, artist, student, community organiser or simply curious about the people and ideas shaping Britain, you are welcome.
