About This Event

The Wants will perform at The Glad Cafe CIC in Glasgow on 22 November 2026. The band, formed in New York City in 2017, is known for its post-punk songwriting. Ticket pricing information can be found on their website.

Formed in New York City in 2017 by songwriter/guitarist Madison Velding-VanDam and drummer Jason Gates, The Wants combine driving post-punk songwriting with electronics and volatile rhythms. Signing with London-based Council Records, they earned widespread praise for their debut album Container (2020). Joined by synthesist Yasmeen Night, they expanded their sound on their second album, Bastard (2025). Known for dark, synth-heavy post-punk and dynamic live shows, the band is currently working on their third record.
