About This Event

Come join students from Strathclyde Uni and Glasgow Caledonian Uni on a trip to Helensburgh - all international students welcome! International Student new to Glasgow? Welcome! Come join us for a day trip to Helensburgh, a coastal town about 1h away from Glasgow. We will get the train together from Glasgow Queen Street Station, and arrive in Helensburgh around 11am. There will be time to explore the town, and then we will have lunch by the beach. After that, there will be time to explore local shops and sights, before we get the train back together around 3pm. For this event, you will need to buy your own train tickets and bring buy your own lunch - we will show you on the day where to get the cheapest tickets and where to get tasty food in Helensburgh. In total, you will need to bring about £20 (£9 for a return ticket and £10 for food of your choice). The event is organised by students from Strathclyde Uni and Glasgow Caledonian Uni. It is part of the International Welcome 2026.
