Para-taxonomy workshops are for all who want to learn about insects and help us understand nature. You will be joining our growing community of para-taxonomists sorting samples of insects into a working taxonomy based on morphology in order to rapidly assess nature recovery. Last year we found unexpectedly high diverity and abundance of insects in a field of "weeds" and Italian Rye grass . This year we're looking at established herbal leys. What will the picture be in the drought year? All data is compared to all other workshop data - six this year and over twenty in total. This is top-grade guided citizen science exploring the nature of nature-friendly farming.
