A free midterm afternoon to try sports, get creative, meet others and discover local activities in Greystones.

Join us at Shoreline Sports Park, Charlesland, on Wednesday 28 October, from 3–5pm, for an afternoon of sport, games and creative activities for 1st–3rd Year secondary school students from Greystones and surrounding areas.

Choose two 45-minute activity sessions, with sports and a Creative Space on offer. No previous experience is needed — activities will be relaxed, introductory and focused on having fun.

Get Active

Try something new and explore some of the activities available locally.

Sports and games are being finalised, with football, tag rugby, tug of war and more expected. Participants will choose their activities when they arrive.

Get Creative – with Greystones Youth Café

Greystones Youth Café will host our Creative Space, offering a relaxed alternative alongside the sports.

Activities will include a selection of art, games, friendship bracelets, journalling and vision boards. Choose what interests you and take part at your own pace. All creative materials will be provided.

You’ll also have an opportunity to meet the Youth Café team and find out about activities and opportunities for young people locally.

Our post-it feedback wall will ask “How does sport make you feel?” Whether you love sport, have mixed feelings or are still finding something you enjoy, we’d love to hear your thoughts.

How the Afternoon Works

3:00–3:15pm: Arrival, registration and activity selection

3:15–4:00pm: First activity

4:00–4:15pm: Break and changeover

4:15–5:00pm: Second activity

5:00pm: Finish

Please meet us at the reception desk at Shoreline Sports Park at 3pm for registration.

Who Is It For?

Students in 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year of secondary school, generally aged 12–15, from Greystones and surrounding areas.

What to Wear and Bring

Please wear comfortable clothes and runners suitable for physical activity. For art activities, wear something you don’t mind getting a little messy.

Please bring:

A water bottle

A warm layer and waterproof jacket for outdoor activities

Any personal medication you may need

All activity equipment and creative materials will be provided.

Can’t Make It?

Please cancel your booking as soon as possible if you can no longer attend. This helps us plan the activities and offer your place to another young person.
