To mark Irish Design Week, The Paper Petal Studio is celebrating Irish creativity with this special crepe-paper Irish Foxglove workshop.

Irish Crepe-Paper Foxglove Workshop

What you'll create

You'll create your own statement crepe-paper foxglove building the flower from individual petals and botanical elements and learning how to create the natural movement and structure of the stem.

During the workshop, you'll learn how to:

Shape and manipulate crepe-paper to create realistic foxglove petals

Build the distinctive bell-shaped flowers (colour choice of blue or pink)

Add distinctive foxgloval petal details with colour markers

Shape and add foliage

Bring all the elements together into a beautiful finished statement botanical

Your foxglove will be yours to take home in a decorative holder to enjoy as a piece of handmade, interior floral artwork.

Note: This is not an official Irish Design Week event. Rather, I'm using Irish Design Week as an opportunity to celebrate Irish design and craftsmanship through my own paper florisrty practice.

As a self-taught paper-flower artist, my work is rooted in botanical research, traditional making techniques and contemporary floral design. This special workshop brings those ideas together around a flower that feels unmistakably connected to the Irish landscape.

It's an opportunity to slow down, learn a new creative skill and explore how a simple material like crepe-paper can be transformed into something beautiful and lasting.
