About This Event

Join our guides and spend time searching the horizon for mesmerising marine mammals and sensational sea birds. Discover Spurn Forget Iceland or the Azores, Spurn is the place to be! Join one of our guides for a short walk along the clifftop offering stunning views of the North Sea and Humber estuary – just a taste of what Spurn has to offer. Settle down in the sea watch hide for a ‘whaley’ good time and gaze out upon the horizon as we begin our sea spotting adventure. Look out for seafaring mammals such as whales, seals and dolphins, whilst keeping your eyes on the skies for avian visitors such as terns, gannets and cormorants. What will you ‘sea’? Binoculars can be borrowed, but we do have a limited supply, so we do suggest bringing your own. Know before you go This walk lasts an hour and a half and takes place over uneven terrain. There is also a step to enter the sea watch. What to bring/wear Dress for the weather (it can be very cold and exposed at Spurn, so bring plenty of layers) and wear sturdy footwear. We suggest bringing binoculars along for the journey. Toilets and catering There are toilets, including an accessible toilet, at Spurn Discovery Centre. The Spurn Discovery Centre cafe is open 10am until 4pm (hot food served until 3pm) Where to meet Please meet our guide at the Spurn Discovery Centre. Parking £5 per car for all day parking. This money goes directly back into managing and protecting Spurn National Nature Reserve. There is free parking for Wildlife Trust members who display their up-to-date membership card on their dashboard Photo: Stuart Baines Contact us If you're having difficulties with your booking, or you have more questions about the event, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
