Are you an educator, parent, or researcher looking for practical, evidence-based strategies to help young people with Dyspraxia thrive?

Would you like to connect with professionals and individuals with lived experience to shape the future of educational support?

Dyspraxia/DCD is a common yet often overlooked neurodevelopmental condition. It affects motor coordination and planning, significantly impacting learning, daily school activities, and overall wellbeing. Despite its prevalence, Dyspraxia remains widely misunderstood in educational settings, leaving many students without the targeted support they need.

This year’s Dyspraxia Awareness Day theme is: "From Research to the Classroom: Bridging the Gap". We believe real progress happens when academic research meets everyday teaching. This event brings together teachers, school staff, researchers, parents, and individuals with lived experience to explore what is working in schools, discuss the real-world barriers educators face, and co-create actionable strategies for the classroom.

What to Expect

Research in Education Talks: Hear about the latest findings and evidence-based teaching strategies.

Lived Experience Talk: Gain powerful insights from a personal story highlighting the everyday reality of school, challenges, and successes of living with Dyspraxia/DCD.

Round Table Discussion (New!): Join our collaborative round table session bringing together educators, researchers, and community members to discuss education, tackle classroom barriers, and co-create practical support strategies for students with DCD.

Interactive Sessions: Participate in practical demonstrations and collaborative discussions designed to equip you with tools you can take straight to the classroom.

Research Opportunities: Contribute to ongoing studies, influence future research design, and help bridge the gap between theory and practice.

Networking & Support: Connect with other families, fellow educators, researchers, and peers to exchange ideas and discover helpful resources.
