This in person session offers an informative and compassionate look at the care and support funeral directors provide to the families they look after – before, during and after a funeral. It will explore the practical steps that take place when someone dies, as well as the values and ethos that guide how funeral professionals care for both the person who has died and the people who love them.
The session is designed to demystify the process, answer common questions, and provide a better understanding of the important role funeral directors play in supporting families through grief.
During the workshop we will cover:
What happens when someone dies and the first steps families need to take
How funeral directors bring someone into their care
How people are cared for while they are with a funeral director
What happens behind the scenes in preparation for a funeral
The different ways a funeral can be arranged and personalised
How funeral directors support families before, during and after the funeral
