Write Your Own SongAn Introduction to Songwriting

A two-part songwriting workshop with Iain Jennings.

Have you ever wanted to write a song but weren't quite sure where to start? Or perhaps you already enjoy music and would like to explore your own songwriting?

Join us in Pateley Bridge for a friendly, practical workshop exploring songwriting, where you'll have the opportunity to create your own music and lyrics and develop an original composition.

Across two relaxed workshops, you'll explore how music and lyrics come together to create a song of your own.

You don't need to be able to play an instrument or have any previous songwriting experience. Just bring your curiosity and ideas. If you do play an instrument, you're very welcome to bring it along!

You don't need to arrive with a finished idea or know where to start - the workshops will give you a chance to explore and see what emerges.

Whether you're a music lover, a budding songwriter or simply curious to try something creative, this is an opportunity to explore your ideas, experiment with music and words, and discover where your creativity takes you.

Led by keyboard player, composer and songwriter Iain Jennings, these sessions offer a chance to explore your creativity, experiment with musical ideas and discover the process of bringing a song to life.
