Help the rangers litter pick in our lovely local chalk stream

This event is part of an environmental partnership focused in High Wycombe. Funded by Bucks Council's HW Community Board, Pride of Place Partnership is coming your way and we encourage everyone to take part to: Love Our Wycombe, Love Our World!

Transport & Address:

We will be working in the town centre and will meet at the 'Eden' Recycling Installation by Black Sheep coffee & Greggs (Newlands Walk). We will then walk to the Wycombe Swan river frontage.

Parking is available in Eden Shopping Centre.

Please can we ask everyone to arrive on time to ensure you do not miss the health & safety and task briefing. If you are late and the session has already started, you may not be able to join. Thank you.

The Task:

A lunchtime spent clearing the river Wye of rubbish to help make it a better home for wildlife. Waders and litter pickers provided!

Timings (please note these timings are approximate):

12.00: Arrival for safety briefing, please don't be late!

12.15: Work begins

13.30: Work finishes, time to go home! Thanks so much for your support.

What to bring:

Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task. We will provide waders, please let us know what size when you book your ticket.

Long trousers are advisable as there may be ticks and thorny vegetation. We also recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.

Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain. You may need a hat and suncream if it's hot.

Please bring plenty of fluids. We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.

Please note:

Biscuits are served at all Chiltern Rangers sessions. Please advise if you have an allergy.

Sometimes there is a need for us to use power tools that can be noisy.
