We will be working at Plomer Hill. We will meet on site at 10am and finish at approximately 3.30pm. We will meet on Plomer Hill Service Road. Free parking is available. The nearest postcode is: HP13 5RN. W3W: feels.custom.shop.
Please park considerately.
Please can we ask everyone to arrive on time to ensure you do not miss the health & safety and task briefing. If you are late and the session has already started, you may not be able to join. Thank you.
You don't need to print off your Eventbrite ticket!
The Task:
A morning of clearing and maintaining the pathways at Plomer Hill - we will be doing raking and brushcutting. We will also be litter picking. See you there!
What to bring:
Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.
Long trousers are advisable as there is thorny vegetation and there may be ticks. We also recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.
Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain. Bring a hat and suncream if it's sunny.
Please bring plenty of fluids. We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.
Timings (please note these timings are approximate):
10.00: Arrival for safety briefing, please don't be late!
10.15: Work begins
11.30: Tea & coffee break
13.00: Lunch Break - please bring your own
15.30: Work finishes, time to go home!
Please note:
Biscuits are served at all Chiltern Rangers sessions. Please advise if you have an allergy.
Sometimes there is a need for us to use power tools that can be noisy.
