A morning to put the nursery to bed for winter

We will be working at our Community Wildflower Nursery!! There is no parking at the nursery so we are asking everyone to join us in our electric vehicle.

The vehicle will be running from our depot at 9.30am. Unfortunately there isn't any free parking on Fennels Road, the car park next door takes card or RINGO. The nearest postcode is HP11 1SL.

We will bring everyone back at approximately 12.30pm.

Task: Our penultimate sesison of the year. Join us for a morning giving our wildflower nusery some care and make sure everything is in order for our return in 2027.

Timings (please note these timings are approximate):

09.30: Depart in the minibus to the nursery, please don't be late!

10.00: Arrival for safety briefing and start work

11.30: Tea & coffee break

12.30: Work finishes, time to go home!

Access: The wildflower nursery is on flat ground and has good accessibility for all. A toilet is also available for use on site.

What to Bring:

Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.

Long trousers are advisable as there may be ticks and thorny vegetation. We also recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.

Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain. If it's sunny you may also want to bring sun cream.

Please bring a bottle of water. We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.

Please note:

Biscuits are served at all Chiltern Rangers sessions. Please advise if you have an allergy.

Sometimes there is a need for us to use power tools that can be noisy.

We love encouraging children and young people to get involved in our activities. However, we do not provide childcare and children must be closely supervised due to the nature of our outdoor work.
