Join us at Mixenden Activity Centre and we’ll will get you pedalling! Bikes are available to borrow.

West Yorkshire Combined Authority's FREE adult cycle training programme aims to enable more people to travel by bike. Sessions run on every other Thursday, with some weekend sessions available too.

Our sessions are open to anyone aged 16yrs and over. You can bring your own bike, or one will be provided for you. Sessions are at Mixenden Activity Centre, where and there are toilet facilities, parking, and on a Thursday from 11am a community kitchen where you grab a drink and a meal.

Our two qualified and highly experienced instructors will be waiting in Mixenden Activity Centre rear car park. The sessions take place in a traffic-free car park.

The sessions are friendly, fun and relaxed. You’ll start off with friendly guidance to balance, then scoot, then glide, so you progress to pedalling with confidence. One thing we love is the huge smiles from everyone as they get pedalling – it’s amazing!

All our training and guided rides are free and you can attend as many as you wish. However, we ask if that if you’ve booked but can’t attend, please go back to Eventbrite and cancel your place. We always have a waiting list of people wanting to attend.
