Discover/Re-discover the joy of cycling with our 1-1.5hr social wellbeing rides. Discover/Re-discover your love for cycling with our 1-1.5hr wellbeing bike rides designed to improve your wellbeing, health, fitness, riding skills and confidence in a supportive, relaxed and enjoyable way. Group size is limited to 10 riders plus a qualified ride leader. Meeting at Project Colt, Elland HX5 0SQ, we have some bikes/e-bikes,helmets and cycling jackets that can be borrowed free of charge for the ride (but if you want to bring your own bike/helmet please do). Please, arrive by 10:00 am. So we can sort out any bike/helmet/clothing requirements promptly and carry out safety checks on all bikes (M-check). We are passionate about creating inclusive cycling opportunities for all and love hearing comments such as "I feel so free riding a bike!" or "I'd forgotten how much fun riding a bike is!" It's music to our ears. About the meeting venue: At project Colt there is free onsite parking, toilets and a cafe with hot and cold food and drink options available to purchase. There is also a bicycle workshop The Rusty Bike Shed onsite that holds stock of plenty of consumables should you need any running repairs pre or post ride to your own bike. About the Ride: Rides will be leisurely paced matching rider abilities and fitness levels . Exploring the Calder Valley and Calder / Hebble Navigation. You will experience a slower pace of life which gives a chance to enjoy the varied scenery and wildlife along the way. Rides will be mostly on traffic-free paths, canal tow-paths and separated bike lanes and will always be adjusted based on rider ability and to ensure a fun ride for all. Rides will be not more than 1-1.5hrs ending back at Project Colt where you can enjoy tea/coffee/cakes or lunch at your leisure. If you need to borrow a bike/helmet or riding jacket please send an email to grouprideloan@gmail.com including your name (as it appears on your booking), the type of bike (drop handle bars, flat bars and size required) include a picture of the style of bike you'd prefer if possible. Please give us as much time as possible if needing the loan of equipmement. Bonus Element: Alongside the obvious physical and mental health benefits of joining us on a ride we'd also like to offer a financial benefit as an incentive to get you back in the saddle. So for anyone attending 4 rides The Rusty Bike Shed in conjunction with Project Colt will gladly offer you either a guaranteed 20% discount on a Preloved bicycle or a 10% discount on bike servicing in their workshop if you already own a bike. Booking cancellation: We understand that plans can change, so if you do book a ticket for this event and then you are unable to attend please simply go to the option of "Tickets" then select "Cancel Order" as spaces are limited for this event.

About This Event
