Our first Community of Practice meeting will take place on 9 September at 12:00 noon.

Embedding Inclusive Practice: Disability, Inclusion and Lecturer Responsibilities

Julie will explore how lecturers and personal supervisors can better understand and respond to the diverse needs of disabled students, including those with neurodivergent, mental health, sensory, physical, and learning-related conditions.

The session will examine responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010, inclusive approaches to teaching and assessment, and the appropriate and effective use of reasonable adjustments. Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss the practical challenges of embedding inclusion while maintaining academic standards and supporting student success.
