Ideal for beginners, nature lovers, and anyone curious about the miniature ecosystems growing all around us, this session introduces you to the incredible diversity of lichens and how to recognise them in the field.
The workshop will include.
🔍 Hands-on identification using samples brought in to the Library by the Ranger/
🌿 Introduction to lichen forms, colours, textures, and key features that help distinguish species
📚 Insights into lichen ecology, symbiosis, and the vital role they play in ecosystems
We ask for donations for this event to help with our work, which goes towards education about and protection of the nature of the Highlands. Please give what you feel you can afford. We suggest a minimum donation of £5 per person to cover our costs or £10 per person to further support our work.
* please be aware that there is a required £1 minimum donation. This covers Eventbrite fees and does not go to the Ranger service.*
