A fun and flexible class to get you started on free motion embroidery.

This half-day class will give you the perfect introduction to drawing with your sewing machine. Free motion embroidered cards are quick and easy, aswell as lots of fun to make and lovely to give as gifts!

We will teach you everything you need to know to make your own free motion card including:

How to set up your fabric for embroidery

Using the correct needle

Free motion techniques for the best results

How to assemble your greeting card

How to use applique for decorative effects

Free motion can take a bit of getting used to before it feels comfortable. You will be given plenty of time to practise and get used to the process before you begin your final card.

This class is suitable for intermediate sewers, beginners may find the technique too complicated.

All materials will be provided and you will be able to take your card away with you when you are finished.

Supplied: fabric, cards, notions, large cutting table, rotary cutters, electric scissors and dressmaking shears, along with our array of modern sewing machines, overlockers , tea and coffee.

Please no not bring additional sewing machines and overlockers.
