Pop Up Information:
The Bird Aware Team will be setting up at Irlams Beach, Harwich to welcome in the Great Coastal Birdwatch 2026! The Ranger team are first kicking off with a session with the Beach School Explorers - if you'd like to be involved, please contact them here (https://beachschoolexplorers.co.uk/).
Following this - The ranger team will having a popup open to the public from 11:00am. We'll have activities and games as well as lots of tips on advice on how you can conduct your own Great Coastal Birdwatch!
Wildlife Walk Information:
Join us for a short light stroll along the sea wall overlooking Irlam’s beach to celebrate local wildlife. The walk will take approximately 1 hour, and we will walk over a flat surface with frequent stops for birdwatching, using spotting scope.
Please bring suitable footwear, as the paths can get muddy and slippery after wet weather. There are public toilets in the car park. Dogs are welcome to join in but MUST be kept on leads for the entire duration of the walk.
