Overlock Basics & Techniques
If you have recently purchased an overlocker, are thinking of buying one, or have had once for a while but wanted to gain some confidence before you start using it, then this class is perfect for you. How to thread the overlocker
Tensions and how to balance them explained
Stitch length
Stitch width
Differential Feed
Sewing with stretchy fabrics
How to begin and end your overlocked stitching
Sewing corners and curves
Gathering with your overlocker
Adding elastic into your seam with the Elasticator Foot
Blind Hem with the Blind Stitch Foot
Adding cording with the Cording Foot
Narrow Rolled Hem
Unpicking an overlocked seam
By the end of the class you will feel confident to continue using your overlocker at home, adding a professional finish to your handmade items.
You will not need to bring your own machine to this class, unless you have an air threader, as we have classroom models available for everyone to use. Everyone uses the same machine, and you will be paired up with another class member to learn together in pairs.
Supplied: Machines, Threads, Fabrics, Tea and Coffee.

Due to unforseen circumstances dates in January may be subject to change, transfers or refunds will be available in that instance.
