What to expect

This two-hour session is led by two Pickleball England certified group leaders who'll take you through everything from scratch. We mean everything — we'll start with how to hold the paddle properly, because even the small stuff matters when you're learning.

Here's what the session covers:

🏓 The game — what pickleball actually is, where it came from, and why everyone's obsessed with it 🤝 The basics — grip, stance, court layout, and the rules explained simply 🎯 Core shots — dinks, groundstrokes, and serves to get you started 📋 Scoring — yes, it's a little quirky, but we'll make it make sense 🎮 Fun drills & games — skill-building activities that don't feel like hard work 🏆 A proper game — for those who feel ready, we'll finish with real match play

The pace is relaxed, the atmosphere is welcoming, and there's no pressure. Whether you're 18 or 80, sporty or not-at-all, this session is built around you having a good time.

Spaces are limited — so grab your free ticket now and we'll see you on court!

Note on age: Under-18s are very welcome, but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the day — whether they're joining in or watching from the sideline. We'd also recommend a minimum age of 15 for this particular session, as we're expecting a wide age range of participants and want everyone to get the most out of it. Younger players are of course welcome, but their experience may vary.
