How to measure yourself and choose a pattern size

Understanding the back of a pattern envelope

Tracing pattern pieces

Understanding pattern markings

Darts

Gathering

Installing a zipper

Sewing a buttonhole

Sewing on a button with your machine

Finishing your woven edges

Hemming

Mastering these techniques will give you the confidence to dive into the world of dressmaking when you get back home.

To optimise in-class time, a basic understanding of sewing is preferred.
