A 4 day writing workshop - every Morning 09.30-13.00

A bit about the workshop:
WriteHere, RightNow offers a unique format, which combines the space of a writing retreat with the provocation of live coaching. The combination of retreat and live coaching means that, while working on a current piece of writing, participants also engage in a series of coaching-based inquiries at three levels:
Establishing an effective writing practice while getting writing done. WriteHere, RightNow offers a structure designed to enable you to write, to approach editing in an effective way, and to hold up a mirror to your own habits and strategies in order to establish an intentional approach that works for you.
Sustaining motivation and overcoming barriers such as self-doubt and ‘the imposter’. In response to the challenges felt by many participants, our group coaching engages with issues around core motivation, overcoming fear and insecurity, finding inherent confidence, and establishing effective intentions and goals.
Who are you as a writer? Letting go of assumptions of who you are trying to be or thinking you should be. We work with what matters to you, with your strengths, with your vision of your writing’s purpose.
What to expect
Each day will involve you writing your work – what you do will be your decision. Each morning will involve some warm introduction, an inquiry about your writing practice, and facilitated timed writing sessions. The morning will close sharing our collective learning. The afternoons will be your own with an invitation to set yourself up well for writing the next morning. Options for short 1-1 coaching during the writing sessions will also be offered.
There are limited places available for this retreat. It is possible to attend if you cannot make all the dates, however please let us know in advance.

About Will
I’m a professional certified coach, coach supervisor and meditation teacher, and I designed and deliver WriteHere, RightNow. As a former academic with dyslexia and an international research reputation, I’m well versed in navigating the challenges of writing. I developed my live coaching writing retreats in response to the ongoing challenges my coachees experienced with writing. Indeed, although I do write and have published in different formats – including two self-coaching books for students – many of the WriteHere, RightNow strategies emerged from the experience of people I have coached, including academics and creative writers.
I’m passionate about enabling people to be at their best while balancing work with the rest of life. I’m also deeply committed to developing conditions of challenge and support which are conducive to all participants' engagement and learning. My sessions are regularly scored as ‘excellent’ and comments have included: “respectful, sensitive to needs of the group”, “fantastic, created a really safe atmosphere to expose the issues raised”, “excellent, very patient when dealing with quite a few of us, kept us on track”, and “exceptional – humane, forgiving, thoughtful and able to bring out the best in a diverse group.”
